Door Decorating Contest Rules
1.Participants must be residents or Children’s organizations of Wilbraham, Massachusetts.
2. Contest entries must feature a decorated door located at a residence or Childrens’s Organization within Wilbraham.
3. Participants must provide their name and address when submitting an entry. This information will be used to verify residency and eligibility. It will not be published publicly or shared.
4.By submitting an entry, participants grant permission for WilbrahamCenter.org to display submitted photographs in the Contestant Gallery, Winner Gallery, Business Gallery, on social media, and in related contest materials.
5.Prize winners may be required to confirm eligibility before prizes are awarded.
6.Prizes are provided and fulfilled directly by participating donors, sponsors, or businesses. WilbrahamCenter.org is not responsible for the administration or fulfillment of prizes beyond coordinating winner notification.
7.Entries must be submitted by the published contest deadline.
8.WilbrahamCenter.org reserves the right to remove entries that are inappropriate, offensive, unlawful, or inconsistent with the family-friendly nature of the contest, or violate the Contest Content Guidelines.
9.Children's Group Entries. Schools, youth programs, museums, camps, and other children's organizations may submit one collaborative entry created by participating children. The entry must represent a group effort by the children. The submitting organization is responsible for obtaining any permissions, approvals, or parental consent required by its own policies before participating in the contest. No children's names, photographs, or identifying information will be displayed as part of the contest entry or gallery. This exception is intended to encourage creativity, teamwork, and community spirit. Any prize awarded to a Children’s Group Entry will be awarded to the submitting organization.
10.All decisions regarding eligibility, judging, and prize awards are final.
Contest Content Guidelines
Decorations should be family-friendly and appropriate for a community event.
Content may not contain:
• Profanity, obscenity, or offensive content
• Personal attacks or harassment
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Political campaign messaging, candidate endorsements, party advocacy, or content intended to support or oppose any political candidate or party
• Commercial advertising or solicitation unrelated to the decorated property or business
Existing business names, business signage, logos, or identifying features that are naturally part of the decorated property or visible in the submitted photograph are permitted.
Privacy and Public Display
Resident names and street address text that is submitted on the entry form will not be displayed in the public Contestant Gallery. Residential entries will be identified by entry number only.
One fun thing we may do after the contest is create a map showing where participation occurred throughout Wilbraham. The map would not identify specific homes or addresses. Instead, it would show general areas of participation so residents can see how widely the community took part in the celebration.
WilbrahamCenter.org may edit residential photographs to remove visible street numbers when practical, but participants should not rely on this review process. If you prefer that your street number not appear in the Gallery, please edit the photograph before submission or temporarily cover the number when taking the photo.
Children's Organization entries may be identified by the name of the participating school, youth group, club, or organization. No children's names, photographs of children, or other identifying information about individual children will be displayed in the Gallery.
If Children's organization names, logos, phone numbers, street addresses, website addresses, signage, or other identifying information are visible in a submitted photograph, WilbrahamCenter.org may publish the photograph as submitted. Organizations that prefer not to display such information should edit the photograph before submission or temporarily cover the information when taking the photo.
Business entries may be identified by business name in the public Business Gallery.
Because the Business Gallery is intended to help showcase participating local businesses, WilbrahamCenter.org will generally publish submitted business photographs as received. Visible business names, logos, phone numbers, street addresses, website addresses, and other identifying information may appear in the Gallery.
Names of winning residents, and participating organizations may be announced publicly, and be displayed in the Winner Gallery, on WilbrahamCenter.org, in social media, and may be shared with local media outlets, including the Wilbraham-Hampden Times, in connection with contest results and recognition. Street addresses will not be disclosed.

2. Kids' Choice voting will take place during the regular Wednesday Community Meet-Up at Crane Park on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
3.Each child may cast one vote for the ENTRY NUMBER of their favorite decorated door.
4.Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while attending the Community Meet-Up and participating in voting.
5.No personal information will be collected from children as part of the voting process.

Weather Notice
Kids' Choice voting is weather permitting. If the July 1 Community Meet-Up is cancelled due to weather, the Kids' Choice Award will not be awarded. There will be no rain date.
🏆Kids’ Choice Award Tie Rule
This award is all about having fun and encouraging children to participate in the celebration.
If two or more entries receive the same highest number of votes, all tied entries will be recognized as Kids' Choice Award winners. We will not hold a tie-breaker vote.
After all, if Wilbraham's kids can't decide between several great doors, we think it's perfectly fine to celebrate them all!
🏆Peoples’ Choice Voting Rules
1.People’s Choice Voting is open to the public, and is not limited to Wilbraham residents.
2.Voting Opens HERE on June 30, 2026 and Closes July 2, 2026 at 11:59PM Eastern Time.
3.A valid email address is required to cast a vote.
4.Each email address will have only one active vote recorded at any given time.
5.Participants may change their vote by voting again using the same email address. In such cases, only the most recent vote associated with that email address will be counted.
6.Email addresses collected for voting purposes will not be displayed publicly and will be used solely for the vote validation and administration of the contest. Voters will not be contacted except as necessary to verify that an email address is valid and deliverable, or to resolve voting irregularities..
7.WilbrahamCenter.org reserves the right to remove duplicate, fraudulent, automated, or otherwise invalid votes.
8.WilbrahamCenter.org reserves the right to disqualify votes that violate the spirit or intent of the contest.
9.All voting results and winner determinations are final.
Business Door Decorating Category
*At this time, the competition is limited to residential entries, Children’s Organizations or Schools.
Local businesses are welcome to submit photographs to be included in the Business Gallery. Business photographs will be displayed with your Business Name.
Business Decoration Flexibility
Because some businesses may not be able to decorate or temporarily obstruct their primary entrance, business participants may decorate a window display, storefront, entryway, or area immediately surrounding the entrance in lieu of decorating the door itself.
The intent is to celebrate participation, creativity, and community spirit rather than require a specific decorating location.
